Blizzard is hiring a game director to make Diablo 4

Blizzard just posted something on their careers page that should get fans of a certain diabolic series very excited. The studio is looking for a game director for an unannounced upcoming game. Given the description for this new project, it leads us to believe the game is none other than Diablo 4.

Here is what the job posting says:

The responsibilities and requirements section provide more clues that this is Diablo 4. The director will be the “vision holder” for the franchise, and they must be “knowledgeable and passionate about Diablo games.” The director must have also shipped multiple AAA products as a director or creative director. This last part is essential given how Diablo is one of Blizzard’s most popular franchises.

Josh Mosqueira was the director of Diablo III, but it appears that he won’t be returning for the follow up game. Since Blizzard is looking for a new director for the series, it is safe to assume that we won’t be seeing Diablo 4 for quite sometime, especially since Blizzard isn’t known for rushing any of its development projects. It will be done when it’s done.

Now that this job listing is out in the wild, perhaps Blizzard will officially announce that the game is in development. Or they could just keep quiet until they have something to show, which is more likely. Timing the announcement with a future BlizzCon seems like a good bet, but will it be BlizzCon 2017 or 2018?
