Adventures in Bad Anime Perspective

Sometimes in anime and visual novels, the perspective is spot on. But sometimes, it’s not.

There could be numerous reasons to explain these bad backgrounds, from poor working conditions to artistic shortcomings. Earlier this year, Kotaku posted Tokyo-based animator Thomas Romain’s excellent types for drawing backgrounds, which underscore just how important perspective is.
