Michael Phelps' game face will give you goosebumps

Michael Phelps is sick of your sh*t, Chad le Clos.

The long-time rivalry between the swimmers continued Monday at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's 200-meter butterfly. Before Phelps and le Clos splashed it out in the pool, the pair sat in the ready room and had very different preparation approaches.

Phelps sat steely-eyed under a jacket hood with headphones firmly pushed to his ears, while le Clos playfully bounced in front of him, boxing the air.

NBC's commentators offered uneasy laughter as TV cameras remained fixed on the rivals. The internet also took notice, comparing Phelps to everyone from Darth Vader to Mariah Carey.

The rivalry reached its peak at the 2012 Summer Games in London when le Clos beat Phelps by five-hundredths of a second to take gold in the 200-meter butterfly.

In the men's 200-meter butterfly semifinals in Rio on Monday, Phelps' fingers out-touched le Clos, but Hungary's Tamás Kenderesi beat them both for the top qualifying spot.

Regina George and Cady Heron Phelps and le Clos fight it out for gold on Tuesday night in Rio.
