Ready to see Morgan Freeman as a magical godfather? (Obviously.)
Freeman is in negotiations to play Drosselmeyer in Disney's upcoming film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Nutcracker was originally a ballet by Tchaikovsky, and Disney's venture will be the show's first live-action film. Unlike the ballet version, the film will only have one dance sequence, which will feature ballerina Misty Copeland.
Freeman's character Drosselmeyer is the mysterious magical godfather of Clara, who will be played by Mackenzie Foy (Interstellar).
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms' release date has not yet been announced, so we assume there is still plenty of time to convince them to write Morgan Freeman a dancing scene.
