The heir to Italy’s former throne is opening a pasta truck in LA

Emanuele Filiberto, the only remaining heir to Italy's throne, just opened a food truck in downtown Los Angeles in collaboration with chef Mirko Paderno.

Fittingly, it's called Prince of Venice — which is not Filiberto's official title, but a fun name for a food truck nonetheless.

The truck's menu features an array of fresh pasta dishes, several of which have already been featured in mouthwatering GIFs on the business's Facebook page.

A representative for Filiberto told Mashable that all the truck's ingredients are, "either imported directly from Italy or sourced locally from Southern California farms, focusing on organic produce, cage-free eggs and free-range meat."

The truck will also make its own pasta daily.

Filiberto is the grandson of King Umberto II, who was exiled when Italy became a republic just after World War II.

In addition to his culinary enterprise, Filiberto has also appeared on Italy's version of Dancing with the Stars.

According to the food truck's website, Prince of Venice is set to open in a "couple of days."
