No Man's Sky player reaches the secret at the center of the galaxy and it's… (SPOILERS)

You had to figure this was coming. When a game is touted by its developer as being hundreds of hours long, we know that we'll see a YouTube video showing the ending by the following day. And indeed, that's exactly what's happened with No Man's Sky. RabidRetrospectGames has a video detailing what happens (or rather, can happen) when you reach the center of the galaxy in No Man's Sky, and I'm going to share it with you.

Before we get to the video, know that although No Man's Sky is not a story-heavy game, there are obviously SPOILERS AHEAD. Duh. Seriously though, stop reading and pretend we never spoke if you don't want the ending ruined for you. Don't read anything after the video either. It's all downhill from here.

Still here? Okay, then go ahead and enjoy the full video below, or skip to 12:05 if you want to see the ending sequence begin.

If you've been playing No Man's Sky and have been wondering about those Atlas Stones you've no doubt come across, now you know what they're for: forging a new universe. You'll need 10 of them to accomplish this monumental task, so when you come across one, I suggest saving it.

Don't worry though, if you reach the center without 10 Atlas Stones, you'll be able to turn around and collect more at your leisure. And hey, you don't even have to follow the Atlas path in the first place. In other words, this is an ending, not the ending. No Man's Sky is about endless opportunity - and in that sense, I think creating a new galaxy totally fits.

What about you? Is this the finale you wanted or expected from No Man's Sky? Let us know in the comments, and if you've seen something newsworthy, email us at [email protected]!
