Sea of Thieves gets a sing-song trailer and gameplay debut at E3 2016

Rare's Sea of Thieves got a proper welcome at Microsoft's E3 2016 press conference today, first with a trailer backed by a (somewhat creepy) sea shanty, followed by some exceptionally pirate-y gameplay.

It looks like Sea of Thieves will let you live out the pirate dream to your heart's content, as the gameplay shown had players guzzling down rum, exploring distant islands, and sacking enemy ships controlled by other players. The only downside? It'll still be awhile before you can set sail, as Sea of Thieves isn't due until sometime in 2017.
