The BIG Festival's Business Forum will feature contributions from more than 50 international guests, including senior representatives from PlayStation, Rovio, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, 11 bit Studios and Kongregate among many others.
Last year, the BIG Business Forum attracted more than 1800 professionals from all over Latin America to attend a programme of 123 lectures from both regional and international speakers. This year, the four day schedule of keynotes, lectures and workshops has more of an international flavour than ever before, with companies of all sizes in attendance.
At the top end of the industry, that means people like HTC Vive's VP of Global VR Content, Joel Breton, Bandai Namco America's head of business development, Karim Farghaly, Kongregate's business development manager, Melinda Montano, and PlayStation's head of Latin America, Mike Foster - each a valuable conduit between regional development talent and some of the games industry's leading players.
However, there is an equal emphasis on development and production, with speakers like Antoine Routon from Square Enix, co-creator of Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO; Jason Cason from Miniclip, who worked as executive producer on mobile hits like 8 Ball Pool and agar.io; Pawel Feldman, who is leading 11 bit Studios' publishing initiative; Reginaldo Valadares, head of production at Rovio; and Piotr Iwanicki, creator of Superhot, which is one of the leading nominees at the BIG Festival Awards.
There will also be a special delegation of French companies at the BIG Business Forum and BIG Festival, which will include Ankama, Playsoft, Atelier 801 and Digital Plug In, among others.
More information on the BIG Business Forum session schedule can be found here.
In addition to the keynote and lecture content, there will also be a range of options for one-to-one meetings with companies like Google, Autodesk, Unity, Intel and Epic Games. Brazilian developers in attendance will also be able to participate in BIG Starter, where the best single pitch will receive a special award.
The BIG Business Forum takes place from June 29 to July 1, concurrently with the BIG Festival, which runs from June 25 to July 3.
