HotS: NA Esports News Round-Up

From the results of the NA Summer Regionals qualifiers to yet again more roster changes, here are the latest Heroes of the Storm eSports news from the past few days.

First of all, we now know the eight teams that qualified for the first North American Summer Regional, that will take place in DreamHack Austin. Team Naventic and TempoStorm were the first ones to qualify and they were followed by Team Higher Consciousness and Gale Force Esports.

The latter team sported a brand new lineup featuring 2016 Heroes of the Dorm winners Michael "Michaeludall" Udall and Stefen "akaface" Anderson and runner-up David "roflcopter" Young. World champions Cloud 9 struggled, but they eventually qualified at the third and last qualifier. The other three teams that made it to DreamHack Austin are Gust or Bust, GOGnitive Gaming and Panda Global.

Speaking of Panda Global, the team made a merge/roster swap with Team Blaze in between the second and the third qualifier! Specifically, Panda Global registered for the third qualifier with a new roster consisting of four members from Team Blaze (Josh "bkid" Choi, Jason "Jason" Mei, Eugene "Yuuj" Tseng and Richard "kladeous" Tran) and one original Panda Global member, Harrison "psalm" Chang. With its new roster, Panda Global qualified for the first NA Summer Regional. Obviously, this change caused a lot of drama with accusations of poaching being thrown here and there.

Lastly, unfortunately one team didn't survive the NA Summer Regionals qualifiers. ELevate failed to qualify and as a result the team disbanded. The players are now free agents, while the organisation might be making a turn towards Overwatch.
